After this weekend's 2007 NHA Draft, the Predators GM, Andrew Lapierre held a press connference giving his personal review of their selections. Lapierre stated "We had a good haul this year, After drafting Brandon Sutter, the Preds went abit out in the blue and chose Akim Aliu," Aliu who played with the Sudbury Wolves was chosen Round 2, 36th Ovr. by the Preds. "Aliu had mixed reviews with amazing talent, but an attitude that not very many people agree with. Once Aliu makes the NHA the Predators are giving him his shot with the Farm Team (Lowell Lions)" Brandon Sutter, once he makes the league, will be given his shot on the NHA Team, rumours say he might be playing along side Jonathan Toews. Along with Sutter and Aliu the Preds chose RW Dale Mitchell (Their only concern with Mitchell being only 5'9") and the Big 6'5" Defensemen Justin Falk.
