The Detroit Blades, who have been a model of inconsistency this season in the NHA, have announced their new GM, Mr. Kehlin McLeod.
McLeod brings with him a wealth of hockey knowledge and passion for the game.
The Blades, who are surely headed towards a high draft pick and no playoff spot this season, are said to be looking to become younger through trades before the March 6 trade deadline. The club is expected to be looking to deal a goaltender, with Niklas Backstrom the most likely to be available. Backstrom, 29, has three years remaining on a contract that pays him 2.25 million per season. Jonas Hiller is available on the farm to backup starter Mathieu Garon if need-be.
McLeod will be busy shaping this franchise into a winner, but is up for the challenge in the coming years.
