With the sale of the Quebec Golden Sticks finalized, the Golden Sticks finally may have some life to them. The sale has been pending for awhile the 'Sticks play has reflected the ownership situation,but no more. New qwner Brian Flick, who has been in Montreal for awhile now to get the deal done final came forward to speak with the media,
"I may not be able to speak French quite yet,but I do know what it takes to build a winner and that is what Quebec is needing...a winner." Asked if any job is safe, the new owner hedged just a bit,"Right now we are looking at everyone to see where we are as a club." With the new ownership,a new coach needs to be named, again the question was posed and the answer was,"For the very short term and I mean VERY short term I will be handling the club, but our list of coaches candidates is extremely short, and we will be naming a coach quickly."
Is there light at the end of tunnel for this once proud franchise,it would seem so as there is a new energy coming from this hockey mad province,hopefully for fans of this club it comes very quickly, we will see...
