Preds Fall Short in Game 6

30-Apr-2009

Preds Insider
(AP)

After a rocky season the LA Predators had done what none expected and squeaked their way into the playoffs for a second year in a row over the Warriors. Going up against the top seed Wildcats, the franchise knew that if they were to show the league what they could do if would prove challenging and the series did not fall short.

Coming out of the gate the Predators won Game 1 by a score of 4 - 2 and they knew nothing was impossible. From then on out the series went back in forward and by game 3 the Predators were up 2 - 1 in the series. The team as a whole were working together and the results were over whelming, however it took a turn for the worse with the Wildcats winning the next 2 games putting the Preds on the edge of elimination after a 4 - 3 Loss in double overtime in game 4. The luck of the franchise did nothing to aid the team who made it to game 6 and finishing the best of 7 series with a 4 - 2 defeat at the hands of the Calgary Wildcats.

The Franchise will definately be looking to build on what they have had in the past few season and go for a 3 peat appearence in the NHA Playoffs and hopefully to make it past the 1st Rnd for the first time in Franchise History. Major plans should be put into motion this off season and the NHA could look to see the Preds be a major contender in the 09 / 10 Season.
