Brief Overview:
The Dallas Storm are a team that has experienced moderate success in the NHA. Originally the Moose Jaw Mounties and then Anaheim Prey, the Storm have a good foundation of veterans and youth that should ensure continued success into the future.
The franchise's best season was back in 2002-03, when they managed a 42-33-7 record and made it to the NHA Cup finals, but came up short against the Winnipeg Warriors in game seven. The retirement of players such as Al MacInnis and aging of veterans John Leclair and Brian Leetch brought the Storm down a peg, but the core of the team remains solid.
GM Dave Walter now looks to take the team deep into the post-season once again. If aging goaltender Olaf Kolzig can hold down the fort, and they continue to get big seasons out of their scoring forwards, there's no reason the team can't surprise come playoff time.
